The most exhilarating memory in my brain bank is the moment my body exited a Cessna C208B traveling at an altitude of 14,000 ft. With a trained professional strapped to my back, it was the shortest “on the count of three…” I’ll ever remember.

It was a bucket list trip to Machu Picchu. We did a sunrise hike with a group of friends and after a long climb in the dark, flashlights in hand, we arrived at the top. It was overcast and nothing could be seen, it was almost dreary. We decided to get in a circle, hold hands, and close our eyes...

Late 1999, when I was working in Boston as a Client Relationship Manager for a financial services company. My brother owned a DMC and we had discussed eventually teaming up and working together. What’s a program again? I said I would move to Chicago and give it a few years and if I didn’t like it, I would move back. That was almost 20 years ago….

The memory...

JILL: Mine is terrible and I have to work so hard to remember everything – Courtney’s is near perfect and she can keep track of us all!

 

An actual memory – starting the business and doing our first décor job as Corinthian Events.  Courtney and I looked a bit scared at each other – grabbed hands and said – we can do this….where should we put this hay and saddle??

 

COURTNEY: Tough one since my personal memory is bad, but my working memory is pretty darn good and I was really good at retaining phone #’s.  I bet Jill’s will be anything family related.

The memory... I have so many wonderful memories with my children, Federico and Catharina, my husband, and our extended families – at home in Monaco, in Italy, and the Netherlands.

 

The time of day... I love early mornings!  I spend some time meditating while everyone is still asleep. I also enjoy the end of the day - sunsets in Tuscany with the most beautiful scenery- the views of the vineyards and a glass of our own homemade wine in hand...

The memory... I was working at my desk when Chris Starkey, (now one of Imprint Group’s owner) walked through the door to use the rehearsal space we had in our office. At that time, I worked for another company. Following right behind him were 6 drummers and 8 uniquely dressed hip hop dancers beaming with a creative energy that was so contagious I had stayed and watched their full, two-hour rehearsal. I had never seen anything like that (and mind you this was 16 years ago). From that point on, I knew I wanted to be in the event production and entertainment world, but the one creating and producing the show. I remember thinking, “everyone should feel this energy in their lifetime!”...

The memory.. I have so many but one that stays close in my heart: my mom cooking in the kitchen and me playing in our backyard. We lived close by the Mexico City’s airport so I would see big airplanes coming and going every day. I would be like maybe 6 years old and would tell my mom “I will travel a lot when I grow up” When I did my mom would tell this story to everyone she knew, so proud of her daughter!
