The memory... It was 2008 and the economy was tough. I had just purchased Accent Indy in 2007 and was working with lean means. We needed a few wheelchairs for an upcoming program, but the vendor was going to charge an insane delivery fee... $75! In an effort to save the $75, I decided to go pick up the chairs....

The memory... The memory that started it all was shortly after graduating from college, sitting on the beach in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, with my friend, Val Lenington. We were talking about what we wanted to do with our lives and that’s when and where we decided to go into business together. We agreed to start our company in two years and shook hands on it. That was 27 years ago and we are now celebrating 25 years in business!...

I served as Senior Advisor and Director of Scheduling & Advance for First Lady Michelle Obama for the first half of the administration. I can still remember the fear and uneasy feeling I had walking into a place with such an incredible history not knowing really anything about how it worked, but also the incredible responsibility and pride I felt in the work I was going to be able to do there...
