The hobby... I love a good farmers market and seek them out when I travel.  I had the great honor of helping launch the Pearl Farmers Market and to see how it has grown into a vibrant weekend tradition of local foods and flavors.

The time of day... Early morning when the world is sleeping.  Give me a cup of coffee (and yes, the newspaper!) and I can tackle the world.

The vice... For sure chocolate and pinot grigio.

The virtue... I am a born optimist.  I always see rainbows in the rain, a cup half full and a "can inside the can't".  I believe in hope, solutions and the best in myself and people.

The color... Purple – but the real truth is I am a color wheel and love the full spectrum. Most of all I love the color of lipstick – all shades.

The friend... My identical twin sister, Joan.  She is my rock, my best friend and who I share clothes with!  We are both breast cancer survivors and share our stories and dreams.

The pet... In my case we have three dogs.  We love our Welsh Springer Spaniels that are four-year old brother and sister.  One is named Wimberley, after the place I went to camp as a child, and the other is Georgia, because my husband loves his Georgia football team and alma mater.  Our third dog is Harvey, our son’s college dog that we have now adopted.  He is a shelter dog, part lab and part greyhound, that looks like a fierce watchdog but is really scared of his own shadow.

The smell... My perfume: Samsara by Guerlain.  It is my favorite, as when I was newly married 34 years ago, my husband brought it home from a business trip to Europe.  The reality is that he most likely got it at the airport duty free shop, but he nailed the selection.  He is not the kind of guy to pick out a fragrance, but it is the sweetest smell because it was so sweet of him.

The book… I would say I do not have a favorite book since I am an avid reader of so many things.  I love reading so my favorite book is actually my Kindle.  I fought it for so long as I felt I was betraying the world of true reading. It has changed my life when I travel and my red leather case feels like the best book cover of all.

The piece of advice… "May I live on in good deeds that bless other’s lives and leave behind me the heritage of a good name."

The joke… The personal joke for me is that I actually work.  I love what I do so much that it does not feel like I am working ever.  Now for all of us in the DMC business that really is a joke so glad it is on me!!!

The exercise… I love Pilates.  It has changed my life so much that I crave it and I feel it has touched me to the core…literally.  I am also an avid walker and swear by my tracker to ensure I keep outdoing my steps each month.

The alternate job… I want to have my own talk show.  The problem with this is I do not want guests to interview, as I really just like to talk.  I could have different segments, wardrobe changes, and maybe a little listening. I’m still keeping it as my alternate job, as so far no one has bought into this type of show.

The song… Call it old fashioned, but Somewhere Over the Rainbow.  I always stay hopeful and believe in the magic of a rainbow after the rain.

The taste… I love the taste of a really good event. I love the smooth taste of the drinks at the specialty bar, the taste of the unique food you envisioned, the taste of success when they love the entertainment, the décor and the surprises we create.  It is a delicious feeling when you bring all the ingredients together to create a WOW and the best ever memories.
