DAY 1: DUBLIN
Early Morning Arrival in to Dublin
Arrive into Dublin Airport and enjoy Platinum Services on arrival.
Dublin Airport Platinum Services is your very own, 24-hour, private terminal at Dublin Airport. It provides a personalised, private reception and assists with all routine airport formalities, allowing you to relax and enjoy the comfort of the private suites.
On arrival at Dublin Airport, as you disembark the aircraft, a member of staff will be there to greet you, with your name on a Name board. From the aircraft you will be escorted to a waiting luxury sedan and transferred to the Platinum Services Suite. Platinum Services staff will process you through a private, dedicated Passport control check. Once processed, you can relax in a private suite, with refreshments, while porters retrieve your luggage.
From Platinum Services, meet your private driver and transfer to Dublin city. As flights from the U.S. tend to arrive early, we suggest going straight to your hotel, dropping your bags (rooms may not be ready until around 3pm) and heading out on a private-guided walking tour to get a sense of the city centre!
Guided Walking Tour of Dublin - Dublin is one of Europe’s oldest cities. As well as retaining its historical and cultural charms, Dublin offers trendy bars, elegant restaurants and stylish, cosmopolitan shops and hotels. Ireland’s capital is a UNESCO City of Literature, founded by Vikings, buzzing with traditional pubs and home to some of the friendliest locals on the planet. On your guided tour you will see Stephens Green, St. Patricks Cathedral, Trinity College and the Book of Kells, and public squares.
It’s been a busy day getting to know the city, and a bit of jet lag may be setting in. It’s time for an early dinner, followed by a traditional Irish pub crawl before heading off to bed. We recommend Pichet, a modern take on a classic bistro. Combining both French influence and modern Irish cuisine, it has been on the receiving end of numerous awards and Bib Gourmand’s since it’s inception in 2009. Pichet’s menus are created with innovation and seasonality using traditional flavours to create unique new dishes. They use top-quality ingredients from their trusted local Irish suppliers. Locally inspired but with a French twist and prepared with our extraordinary cooking methods, the menus change regularly but the food principles remain the same. From baking their own bread fresh every morning to butchering their own meat, there is an unparalleled level of detail that goes into making Pichet’s food the best it can be.
After dinner, meet your guide and start the evening with a little history of Dublin and very soon it becomes clear the Irish pub has played an important role in the city’s past. Its famous writers, artists and politicians of times gone by have connections with some of Dublin’s best pubs. Visit three pubs mixing the old with new and the big with the small - each has its own stories and unique atmosphere.
Overnight in Dublin City centre at...
The Westbury Hotel, Dublin - Voted Number 1 Hotel in Ireland by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2018, the Westbury’s central location in the heart of Dublin offers unrivalled access to the pedestrianised social hub of Grafton Street, St Stephen’s Green and the historic open spaces of Dublin’s Trinity College. Irish heritage abounds in the hotel too, from the flowers to the food, along with one of the country’s foremost art collections, featuring original paintings by Sir John Lavery and Louis le Brocquy. But it is the warmth of welcome that is most vivid – a tangible service ethos that sets the seal on a haven of luxury.
