A Milanese DMC Experience
By TERRAEVENTS Italy, a DMC Network Company
Earlier this year, our partners TERRAEVENTS Italy extended a warm Italian welcome to the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) when visited Milan, one of Italy’s most cosmopolitan and vibrant cities. Home to extraordinary gothic architecture, masterpieces by Da Vinci, side by side with world class shopping and modern design – this destination really offers something for everyone.
The below is a flavor of what the IRF board experienced while in Milan – we hope that this inspire’s our next trip to this wonderful city or as part of a combo with Lake Como (just an hour away by road), or by hi-speed train to Bologna, Florence or Rome – TERRAEVENTS Italy will be ready for you!

Milan’s trams have been an iconic presence in the city since 1876 – so all on board to enjoy a tour of visual delights and curiosities... Capture sights of elegant avenues lined with trees, the Duomo with its gothic spires and flying buttresses, clusters of Liberty-style Art Nouveau facades and the contemporary architecture which is rearranging the skyline of the city.
Chocolatiers Tancredi and Alberto Alemagna’s Milanese bistrot and pasticceria is a truly beautiful space; an amalgam of shining marble floor tiles, sapphire blue banquettes and glowing 1950s brass lamps – not to mention counters crammed with displays of irresistible chocolate delights, cakes and pastries. T’A is rightly famous for its artisan panettone, an Everest in terms of cake baking; enjoy a tasting of this rich, buttery, fruity and authentic Milanese masterpiece!
The famous food emporium , a bastion of the city’s culinary heritage and a temple to Italian provisions, including all manner of cheeses, olive oil and cured meats, where you can stock up on presents that will have your family wishing you went away more often! A pre-luncheon aperitif provides the perfect finish to our morning endeavors!

Ferrari Experience, a touch of red!
For lovers of the Prancing Horse, enjoy a visit to Ferrari’s flagship Milanese store. Located just a stone’s throw from the Duomo in the historic Palazzo Ricordi, it goes well beyond simply shopping. Interactive video walls, multi-sensory brand experiences and an opportunity to experience the thrill of a GP race-track on the F1 simulator are just some of the exciting options that you can experience here.
Sangalli Fashion Atelier
Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world. Enjoy a unique “backstage” experience of the city’s fashion scene visiting the atelier of the illustrious fashion designer Federico Sangalli. We’ll tiptoe into some of the workshops to see the skilled seamstresses hard at work on splendid pieces such as haute-couture collections which include maestro’s unique creations of luminescent gowns using state of the art optical fibre fabrics. Truly a unique sight to behold!
Dolce Gabbana Martini Bar
The Aperitivo is a sacred rite in Milan and there is no finer place to enjoy this tradition than the stylish Dolce Gabbana Martini Bar. Born from a collaboration between two epochal Italian brands, this truly is an example of sophisticated Milanese style with its chic, black décor, D&G dragon flooring and lovely Italian garden courtyard.
