I was pleasantly surprised when I heard from my colleague, that Bulls/Sox Academy team approached her with this unique opportunity for our Special Olympic athletes to partner with your client and the Bulls/Sox Academy for a fun-filled day of hoops and teambuilding.
Special Olympic athletes are true sports fans and competitors, so this chance to log some time in a state-of-the-art training facility was greatly appreciated. I’ve heard back from a number of our athletes, coaches and parents expressing how much they enjoyed the expert skills instruction from a generous and respectful coaching staff, meeting Benny the Bull, receiving the duffle bag full of great Bull’s gear, and enjoying a pizza lunch. But more importantly, I’m hearing how much the participants enjoyed meeting other athletes and families, making new friends and playing on-on-one with your client. Occasions such as these build bridges between Special Olympics Illinois and the community. And having those bridges in place is critical in our greater effort of creating a world of acceptance and opportunity for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
I’m glad to know that we have partners like Chicago Travel Consultants contributing to the health, happiness and prospects of our athletes. Thank you, once again, for putting together such a well-organized, fun and impactful event. I hope the future will give us more opportunities to work together as a team.”
